Why “For Such A Thyme”
Why “For Such A Thyme“?
It was in the winter of 2007, after we had just moved six weeks earlier from Canada to a new country and I was beside myself one day. I had been reading about Esther in the Bible and really felt a strong identification with her.
In Chapter 4:14 it says, “Who knows? Maybe you were made queen for just such a time as this.” This shook me as I realized the Lord had placed us in this foreign country for this time, and I was either going to make the most out of it (and begin trying to figure out what He wanted me to write) or choose to become embittered and discontented. Esther was a huge role model for me at that moment in time.
That day has stayed with me. When it became time to take my leap of faith thirteen months later, and allow others to read my personal thoughts about my spiritual journey, I knew that that phrase needed to be incorporated somehow.
So there you have it… For Such A Thyme!
